Headspace recommendations:
-Jams & Jellies: 1/2
-Tomatoes, Fruits,and Pickles:When water bath canning these food items, plan on 3/4
-Low-Acid Foods: When pressure canning most low-acid foods (think red meats, seafood, poultry, milk, and all fresh vegetables except for most tomatoes here), leave 1
- Exceptions: As with any rule, there are always a few exceptions. When canning some vegetables and meats, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 may be required.
Note that too little headspace can result in “siphoning” or foods bubbling and leaking out when the air expands and is forced out with processing. Food particles may also prevent the jar from sealing properly.
Too large a headspace and the foods within may discolour, and the jar may not properly seal, creating a “false seal," a as the time allotted may not be enough to remove all the unwanted air.

During holidays, promotions, and other high-volume periods, processing may take up to 3 business days. We appreciate your patience as our team works to get every order out as quickly as possible.
Peak Season Shipping
During our busiest seasons, please allow 8–14 business days from the date your order is placed for it to arrive at your doorstep.

Our Standard Shipping service uses a network of trusted carriers, including UPS, Canada Post, and regional delivery partners, to provide the most efficient delivery based on your location.
Packages may be delivered on Saturdays where available.
Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking email (typically sent around 5:00 PM EST) to the email address used at checkout.
If you haven't received a shipping confirmation, please allow up to 3 business days for processing before contacting our support team.
Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original condition.
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll refund the purchase price minus the cost of return shipping.

Refund Policy
FORJARS® Online Store Return/Refund Policy
At FORJARS®, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. That's why we offer a 30-day return policy, giving you 30 days from the date you receive your item to return it and request a refund.
Please read carefully:
To initiate a return, please contact us at support@forjars.ca or call us at 250-899-9866. If your return is accepted for a refund, we will email you instructions on how to send your package back.
Please note that items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be eligible for a refund.
Eligibility for Returns
To qualify for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. Please include the receipt or order number as proof of purchase.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund is approved. If approved, you will be refunded on your original payment method. Please allow some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item so that we can address the issue promptly.
Shipping Fee for Returns
Return shipping is free only if the mistake was made on our side or if the product arrived damaged. In all other situations, including errors made by the customer during purchase, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
