My new best lids

I’ll tell ya what, these lids are much thicker than ball lids. I tried them out in some late season salsa canning. BOOM! Every lids sealed. Awesome! Can’t wait for spring g jam canning. Thank you ForJars, you are my new, best canning system.

Great lids but . . .

Many homesteaders on you tube use your lids and so I tried them. After using them for more than a year I can say that I hardly have a fail except for user error. However many times the coating comes off of the underside of the lid and I am left with not only horrible black areas instead of the coating but people who are gifted my canned food are calling and asking if it is safe to eat. What happens to the coating when it comes off, does it go in the food? Even if it is safe it doesn't look very appealing. Thanks for reading this.
