I haven't ever had seal failure issues with Ball lids, but needed a new batch of lids for this canning season and took advantage of a sale to give ForJars a try, since all of the gardening content creators I follow swear by them.
The first recipe I used them with was 5 pints of pressure canned roasted tomato soup. Of the 5 jars, 4 sealed and one failed. It was very disappointing since I've never had a seal fail with Ball jars and the main selling point for ForJars is reportedly a close to 100% sealing success rate. Ive since made a batch of bread and butter pickles and all 8 pints sealed just fine. I'm going to assume the single failure was a fluke and see how things go moving forward (lots of canning left to do!)
